Thanks for purchasing our delectable chocolates and nuts!  We pay special attention to making sure that your order ships and arrives in good condition.  Now that your chocolate's on the way, we're guessing you might have a few questions.  

Warm Weather Shipping

When it's hot outside we take extra steps to ensure 100% satisfaction. All orders are packed in insulated shipping containers with ice packs (at no additional cost) and delivered within 2 days.

How do we ship your order?

All orders are packed with great care and ship direct from our factory located just outside of Tacoma, Washington via one of our preferred carriers.  Orders typically ship the same day but every so often we need a little extra time, which is why we reserve up to 48 hours to pack your order.

Warm Weather Shipping (May - September)

With the change of the seasons, we all eagerly await the warm weather that's around the corner.  Just because it's summer doesn't mean we all stop craving chocolate.  We totally get that, so during the warmer parts of the year we take extra special care in packing orders to ensure you don't receive a gooey melty blob that was once Chocolate Covered Blueberries. 

To ensure that you get your products in the best condition possible, during this time we make a few changes to our shipping options and policies:
  • Your order may ship with gel icepacks in a thermal lined box or mailer pouch.
  • Your order might ship in more than one box if there are non chocolate items in your order.
  • If temperatures reach above 90° F, we may contact you, partially, or fully cancel your order depending on it's contents as we may not be able to guarantee it will not melt.
  • Please keep an eye out for your package during the summer months as deliveries made to homes can sit out in the sun.  We're not responsible for your packages once they leave our facility.  
  • We adjust our shipping options and shipping days to better allow for your product to reach you in optimal condition.

Order Cut off times and Holiday Shipping Deadlines

Our daily order cutoff time is 12 PM PST, Monday through Friday, subject to some changes during our Warm Weather Shipping months. Shipping during the holidays can be tricky.  Here's a quick list of a few major holidays and when to order by in order to get your items in time:

Returns & Exchanges

At Emily's we make every effort to pack your order correctly, the first time.  If for some reason there's a problem with your order, please contact us within 20 days of the purchase of your order and we will work with you to find a solution.
 

What is your return policy?

We can only accept returns and exchanges for incorrect, damaged orders, and product issues.  Contact us for returns and exchanges within 20 days of placing your order.  Depending on the issue, we will either replace your items or issue you a refund.  Please note that refunds may take between 2-7 days to process.  

 

How can I contact you about my return or exchange?

If you have an order that needs to be returned or exchanged per the criteria listed above please contact us through our "Contact Us" page.   Hold on to all product and product and product packaging until your refund or return has been fully processed. Please initiate a return by contacting us and we will work with you to help process your return or exchange as needed.

 

Lost & Stolen Orders

While we take every precaution to make sure you order ships accurately and promptly, it is important that you, provides us with accurate shipping information and are responsible for the package once it's incoming.  We cannot issue refunds for address errors, theft, or negligence.  It is your responsibility to contact the designated shipping carrier to request compensation for orders that are incorrectly shipped to businesses, homes, or to a 3rd party location or on behalf of another individual.  

 

Warm Weather Shipping Issues

During the Warm Weather Shipping Season we adjust our shipping schedules, assess weather conditions in real time, and pack each order to endure a period of exposure to elevated temperatures.  We to do not accept returns or issue refunds on any orders left in the elements for an extended period of time.  It is the responsibility of the recipient and/or the purchase to ensure that orders are not left to sit out in the elements.
